• Where did you go and what were your aims?

For our location recce we visited the city of Brighton. The main aims  our group had were to experiment with as many different shot types as possible, as well as taking into consideration possible shots for our video. We wanted to develop our skills from AS so tried to vary our shot types as much as possible, for example experimenting with a time lapse, speeding a shot up.  Another aim of the trip was to experiment with different locations, Brighton was brilliant for this as it is very versatile, with the sea front and beach to the tight back ally ways of the town. Again this was extremely useful as it helped us to develop our concept ideas and where we  may film our music video

 

• What did you achieve?

Over the period of time in Brighton we achieved a huge variety of shots, for example XLS (extreme long shots) CU (close-ups) Panning, Swish Pans etc. As well as the practical shooting we also developed our editing process, using Time lapsing, Fast cuts, Cuts on beat ext.
